Taylor’s Residence Brings Mental Wellbeing to Life with 31.10 RECONNECT

In conjunction with Mental Health Awareness Month, Taylor’s Residence introduces 31.10 RECONNECT, a week-long mental wellbeing initiative from 27 to 31 October 2026, designed to encourage residents to pause, recharge and rediscover meaningful connections with themselves and those around them.

Centred on the theme “Connection Comes in Many Forms,” the initiative recognises that wellbeing is not a one-size-fits-all experience. From moments of personal reflection to shared activities and new experiences, RECONNECT creates opportunities for residents to step away from their daily routines, explore different ways to unwind and strengthen their sense of connection and belonging.

Throughout the week, residents are invited to participate in a series of activities designed to support different aspects of wellbeing:

  • 27 October | Aromatherapy: Take a breather and explore relaxation through aromatherapy at U-Garden.
  • 28 October | Zumba & Cook Together: Get moving at UniGym before connecting with fellow residents through a shared cooking experience at the Common Pantry.
  • 29 October | The People’s Experiment: Discover more about yourself and explore human connection through an interactive experience at THM Lounge.
  • 30 October | Unfiltered Convos: Create space for open, meaningful conversations at U-Lounge.
  • 31 October | Nature Walk: Conclude the week with a refreshing outdoor experience at Taman Tugu, offering residents an opportunity to reconnect with nature and one another.

Beyond the activities, 31.10 RECONNECT reflects Taylor’s Residence’s ongoing commitment to fostering a supportive living environment where student wellbeing extends beyond accommodation. By creating approachable opportunities for reflection, movement and social interaction, the initiative encourages residents to make small but meaningful choices towards their personal wellbeing.

Because connection comes in many forms, and sometimes, it starts with you.

31.10 RECONNECT: Making Human Connections Easier to Choose.

Participation is exclusive to Taylor’s Residence residents. Residents may register for the activities through the Taylor’s Residence WhatsApp Announcement Channel.
